It was called "Tournament of the Continents". France was choosen to organise the tournament during World Men 1962 in Moskva. France informed in FIVB on 24th of February 1965 about withdrawing from Host, because dates 22-29.08 are interferring with Summer Universiade in Budapest 26.08-05.09.
